Bok Choy, leaves and stems separated
Mushrooms (wild mix, soaked and squeezed)
Sugar snap peas
sauce from cornstarch, vegetable stock, soy sauce
Salad Dressing
Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar
Olive Oil
Fresh Mint
Salt
Pepper
(vinegar made by mashing berries, soaking them in vinegar for a few hours, then filtering. Man, I need a funnel.)
put on Salad of a variety of green things, some small tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella.

Everything is better with butter

Radishes cut into wedges and sauteed in butter. Extra butter used to saute garlic scapes, radish greens. These then combined and tossed with chopped chives. The pinkish stubby finger-shaped radishes (shunkyo) were much tastier then the round, dark purple ones.

Jul. 20th, 2008 02:08 pmone from 1997 JOY with melted chocolate, cocoa, and cinammon, frosted with mocha icing from the same edition. The rocketship cookie cutters work best with slightly thicker dough, and chilling it helps.
